Help my song "Greater Than Gold" to be considered for the credits of the Hobbit movies by 'Liking' my Facebook page. With enough people behind me, my  licensing team will have a better chance of getting this song in the door. 

This song was inspired by the story of The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. The song speaks about the journey of the adventurer and the growth that happens through facing ones challenges and darkness. It contrasts Bilbo's innocent spirit with the greed of the dwarves and points to what the real treasure is.

Over the Mountain, far from my home

What I have given to seek out this gold

Dark paths and danger, but company kept

My heart the stranger, ‘till first dawn I left

Can’t be held or bought

 The guiding wise wizard, in the twilight of elves

Their deep song and laughter that once filled the dale

The darkness is lurking, the task ‘or me looms

But the moon left us hoping, when she revealed the runes

I once was a young lad, but worn feet have shown

‘Till I came to the darkness, my strength was unknown

What I am seeking can’t be held or lost

I long to be me, whatever the cost

One day we will part ways, and under the hill

My journey will take me, if that be the will

Gain that I carry, though long be it’s toll

A life that’s well lived in is greater than gold.
