Dave Tate and Victoria Lagerström

Critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Dave Tate's graceful yet passionate acoustic music combines dynamic melodies, intimate tenor vocals, andpoetic imagery in a style similar to the softer material of Paul Simon and Jeff Buckley. Garnering comparisons to singers such as Gladys Knight and Eva Cassidy, Victoria Lagerström’s voice adds an angelic and soulful texture to the duo's music. Poignant lyrics rooted in themes of self-discovery are a signature of both Tate and Lagerström’s music. The duo began recording together after Lagerström, a native of Sweden, found Tate's music online and journeyed to the red rock desert of Southern Utah to record an album with him. The two fell in love and were married three weeks later, Lagerström not using her return ticket to Sweden. Tate and Lagerström have released a combined 9 albums including the duet record The Same Heart and Tate’s The Solitude of Here, which Folk Forum called "a masterpiece worthy of a place inthesinger/songwriter Hall of Fame." Now residing near Zion National Park, the couple performs throughout the United States and Europe.
